Challenge

Creating a modular unit that balances expansive mountain views with privacy for Airbnb guests posed a unique challenge. The goal was to design a space that would allow visitors to fully immerse themselves in the surrounding landscape without sacrificing comfort or seclusion, all while keeping costs reasonable for the operator.

Solution

We addressed this challenge by designing a 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom modular unit with a striking half-mirrored glass exterior. The use of mirrored glass ensures both privacy and unobstructed views, reflecting the natural beauty around the unit while providing a shielded interior. The open-plan layout and concrete bathroom add a modern, minimalist touch, creating a space that feels luxurious yet functional, perfect for resorts or mountain retreats.

Results

The end result is a beautiful, compact unit with the feel of a hotel room, installed seamlessly on the side of a mountain. Guests now enjoy panoramic mountain views every morning while maintaining a sense of privacy. This innovative design not only enhances the guest experience but also offers Airbnb and resort operators a cost-effective, stylish solution for expanding their property offerings.
