The installation of a geodome can be far more expensive than the initial “10K” price tag suggests. The breakdown of costs includes the dome itself at $18K, a main deck platform costing $10K, drywall and paint for $2K, and electrical work at $6K. Additional expenses include A/C installation ($5K), a shower ($8K), a general contractor’s fee ($8K), and installation services ($10K). Outdoor enhancements, such as a hot tub, add another $20K, while a water well costs $10K, electricity setup is $5K, and a driveway adds $5K. All of these costs lead to a total of around $107K, with some estimates going as high as $118K, making the final price much steeper than what many people expect from the upfront cost.
